Trenchless Repair

There is a new repair method called trenchless technology.  This technology consists of repairing or replacing complete sewer lines without having to dig long trenches.  This trenchless technology saves the homeowner thousands over traditional trench digging.  Usually requiring a single hole to be dug, this technology saves your expensive flower beds, retaining walls, water features and patio areas from being torn up from traditional trench digging. 

Trenchless technology uses 2 different methods of repair.  One is called CIPP- Cured in Place Pipe which is a pipe lining method.  The other method is called, pipe bursting.  Both of these trenchless technologies offer great life expectancy for your side sewer.

Trenchless Pipe Lining CIPP

Trenchless repair involving pipe lining is a great sewer repair alternative.  This repair method uses compressed air to ‘shoot’ an epoxy saturated cloth liner down the existing sewer pipe.  After curing, what is left is a brand new sewer pipe that adheres to your existing pipe wall.  This method is, ‘cured in place’ and produces a long lasting pipe repair or replacement offering the homeowner years of trouble free service.

Trenchless Pipe Bursting

The process of trenchless bursting is a trenchless method of sewer repair that is used when the existing sewer pipe is beyond repair using the relining process.  For a liner to be effective, the existing pipe has to retain the roundness of a pipe shape.  Large intrusions from rocks, roots or large holes in the existing pipe renders the pipe useless for a lining process.  This is where pipe bursting comes into focus. 

Pipe bursting is the process where a large cutter head is drawn down the existing pipe, bursting the defective pipe out of the way, while at the same time, while drawing a new pipe into place.
